Love. Live. Lead.

Better by managing what matters most.

Learn to Become the CEO of Your Energy

WHO THIS IS FOR?

This is for anyone responsible for energy, their own and the energy of others.

Leaders, teams, educators, caregivers, community builders, and organizations.

If people are impacted by how you show up, this work applies.

WHAT I DO

I speak about energy as leadership-how it affects decision-making, culture, resilience, and performance.

My sessions blend professional experience, lived insight, and movement-based reflection to help audiences lead with more intention and sustainability—without hype and without burnout language that feels generic.

WHAT AUDIENCES LEAVE WITH

☞ A clearer way to think about energy as a leadership responsibility
☞ Language and reflection tools for making decisions under pressure
☞ Practical strategies to protect, regulate, and invest energy more intentionally
☞ A grounded reset that supports presence, clarity, and follow-through

About La Verne Burrus-Johnson

What sets La Verne Burrus-Johnson apart is her ability to connect strategy with humanity. She brings together executive experience, academic insight, and energy-aware practice to help people lead in ways that feel grounded, steady, and sustainable. A mother, coach, and leader known for how she shifts energy, La Verne understands leadership not as a performance, but as something lived—under pressure, in transition, and in everyday moments where energy matters. Her work resonates because it meets people where they are and invites them to lead with intention rather than exhaustion.

Professionally, La Verne has more than 25 years of experience across governance, risk, audit, and leadership, working within complex environments at Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 organizations. She holds an MBA and credentials as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and is currently a doctoral student in Organizational Leadership, Education, and Supervision (Ed.D.). Beyond her corporate and academic work, La Verne leads movement-driven initiatives through her company, iDanze Fitness, and her nonprofit, The Life Hero Foundation. Together, these organizations sponsor programs such as Dance for Your Heart, where she has turned pain into purpose—helping people reconnect with their bodies, their energy, and their capacity to lead.

WHY I SPEAK ON ENERGY

I speak on energy because I’ve seen what happens when it’s ignored.

Across corporate leadership, community work, and personal experience, unmanaged energy shows up as burnout, reactivity, disconnection, and poor decision-making. It affects how we lead teams, raise families, show up for our communities, and move through transition.

Energy is not a soft concept.
It’s a leadership responsibility.

When people understand how their energy is spent, protected, and redirected, they lead with more clarity, steadiness, and intention. That’s the work I bring into the room.

PROGRAMS & COMMUNITY WORK

In addition to corporate leadership work, LaVerne has created and led community-centered initiatives that use movement and education to support health, confidence, and collective well-being, including:

☞ iDanze Fitness
☞ The Life Hero Foundation (501(c)(3))
☞ Dance for Your Heart
☞ RVA FitFest
